Other Common Names Purple Oak Blue
This species appears to be less common than A. madytus and A. micale, or perhaps it's just more seasonal and I haven't been to Cairns at the right time of year.
The adult was sitting in a small eucalypt in the Cairns Central Swamp. Fortunately, after a while it flew down and settled in some lower, burned out trees.
The pupa was at Ellis Beach, north of Cairns.
