Other Common Names I found this butterfly in a low-lying grassy area at the bottom of the Mount Whitfield Conservation Park. At first I didn't pay much attention, as I assumed it was Lampides boeticus, a species which I don't follow very often because when they're flying they don't tend to land very often and so can be rather frustrating. But I noticed that it didn't seem to fly as rapidly as L. boeticus, and so when one landed close to me I took a few photos.
