Tailed Cupid, Tailed Grass-blue

This is apparently a species that can be found in large numbers under the right conditions. So it's strange that I've only seen it twice, and just the one individual each time. The first was in Cairns in April 2006 - I didn't get any shots as it flew off just as I got it in focus (how many times does THAT happen, eh?). I finally got some pics at White Rock in November 2008. Although this day was largely sunny, it was a bit cloudy at that time, which probably made it easier to get the photos as the butterfly kept on settling after short flights.
