I initially photographed this very small butterfly in a grassy part of the Cairns Central Swamp in October 2005. I've seen them a few times around Cairns since then, but not in any great numbers. The female I photographed near Herberton in January 2008 is unusual, as she has two obvious black subtornal spots instead of one.
