Other Common Names
Ictinus Blue

I was hoping to find this species in the Ingleburn Reserve, as there's a colony of J. evagoras there, and this species appears to have similar requirements. After many unsuccessful attempts, I finally found one of these butterflies perching on a small Acacia next to the Reserve's car park.
Although it is obviously very similar to J. evagoras, as soon as I saw it I realised it was this species instead. I was therefore very happy when it flew down to a smaller bush, where I was able to get photos. Since it was a female, and I saw it laying eggs, I'm hopeful of getting plenty more photos of this species.
