This butterfly looks very similar to M. halyzia, its east coast counterpart. I saw one male hilltopping at Lesmurdie, and then a large number of butterflies at Koondoola. I was continually encountering them there, I was surprised to see so many. It's not that there were loads in a small space, but wherever I went there would be one or two.
