Orange Plane

I saw the occasional specimen of this species around sunny spots alongside creeks in the rainforest near Cairns. They had a slow, gliding flight and settled often, but always out of reach of my camera. Fortunately, on my last day in Cairns, I saw one in the park across the road from the Botanic Gardens, and I was able to get some pictures (albeit not very good ones).
