I bumped into this species whilst trying to get photos of Oreixenica lathoniella, alongside the Jamison Creek at Wentworth Falls in the Blue Mountains. I only saw two of them for certain, though I had suspected sightings of a couple more, but I didn't get close enough for photos.
The two butterflies I photographed were sharing a small grassy area on the inside of a meander of the Jamison Creek. They weren't very easy to approach, but if disturbed they generally just scooted off to a nearby flower and continued feeding.
