There were a few of these butterflies in one particular clearing along a track in the Smithfield Conservation Park. One female briefly landed low down, and I was able to get close enough for a few photos, which was lucky because the others I saw were all too high up for decent pics. It was quite a productive spot, as I also saw P. eone and Hypochrysops miskini there.
