I'd been trying for years to find this species. I'd been to Cairns many times, and Brisbane several times, and always I thought I'd have a good chance of seeing this butterfly. In April 2011 I found it in 3 different places, 2 spots at Cairns and then the following day at Atherton. Mostly they were found on or next to Alphitonia trees, which is one of their foodplants.
