Notes

Other Common Names
Large Dingy Skipper

This appears to be a fairly common species. I found them in my garden in March 2004, and the following spring I saw a number of them in various places.
The best way to photograph them seems to be when they're feeding on flowers, eg Lantana, as they tend to concentrate on pigging out. Other than that they're not all that easy to approach.
