Anisynta monticolae (Montane Grass-skipper)

Other Common Names

Mountain Skipper

Notes

This was found near to the Jenolan Caves. There were a number of other skippers around, but just a small number of this species. They only appeared when the sun was shining, and were mostly to be seen feeding from flowers by the side of the path.

From what I’ve heard this is a rare species and not often found.
