Tagiades japetus (Pied Flat)

Other Common Names

Black and White Flat

Notes

I see these around Cairns occasionally.  When flying they look like a small black and white flash.   Early in the morning and in shady rainforest areas, I see them land in the sunshine, but most of the time they prefer to settle on the underside of a leaf.
