Notes
A search for this species at Dongara in 2016 had been unsuccessful, but the second attempt in November 2017 did turn up a few specimens. The butterflies look a great deal like Ogyris arcana sublustris, which also occurs at the site, but the idmo are significantly larger.
I had some more luck in 2025. At Bodallin I photographed a male, and a week or two later I got shots of males and females at Boscabel, even though it was mainly cloudy and quite cool that day. I saw a decent number of idmo at Boscabel; I suspect that on a sunny day I’d have seen plenty more.
