Anthene seltuttus (Dark Ciliate-blue)

Notes

At Cairns I frequently see Blues flying rapidly around and then settling on trees. In most cases they settle out of reach, but by repeatedly disturbing them I  occasionally get one to land close enough to be photographed. This was how I got my first photos of this species, on my first ever day of butterflying in Cairns.  It’s one of those species that tends to be around, but I don’t see them in large numbers.
