I’ve only seen this butterfly once so far – he was defending a spot on an open area of ground close to a hilltop site near Lawson. He was rather aggressive in chasing away other butterflies; so much so that it was hard to get pics of him, because he never sat still for very long. It’s a shame that he didn’t open his wings more, as if he had done so it would have made identification easier.  Thankfully, I had some help with this ID…
