Graphium eurypylus (Pale Triangle)

Graphium eurypylus lycaon
Graphium eurypylus nyctimus

Other Common Names

Pale Green Triangle, Pale Blue Triangle, Spotted Fanny

Notes

I’d seen this butterfly once or twice in the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney, but as with other Graphium species they’re hard to photograph, as they don’t seem to like landing much.
Eventually in January 2008 I was able to get a photo – it’s not great but it’ll do for the time being.
This species was common around Townsville in December 2017, including different colour forms (eg yellow).
