Delias ennia (Yellow-banded Jezebel)

Other Common Names

Nigidius Jezebel

Notes

This is another Delias species that spends much of its time up in the trees, making it hard to get photos. The first butterfly I photographed had damaged hind wings, and wasn’t as good a flier as the others in the area, which might be why it settled close enough for me to get photos.
In September 2008 I saw a few more of them around and got some better pictures, if still not as good as I’d like.
