I’ve probably missed several chances to photograph this species, as in Cairns I’ve tended to overlook the Grass-darts because a) there are lots of other butterflies around and b) Grass-darts are so hard to identify! They photos I have of ardea were taken in the Smithfield Regional Park, on two different occasions.
