After 20 years of butterflying I finally saw one of these on the first day of my February 2026 trip to north Queensland. It was the first butterfly I photographed on the trip, but I only got two shots (one of which is terribly unfocussed) before it was disturbed by one of the many Timoconia peron that were around at the time. Unfortunately I didn’t see it again, or any others on the whole trip.  Maybe I’ll see another one in 2046…
